2019 Honolulu Marathon

December 8, 2019

The Honolulu Marathon is one of the largest foot race that draws international participants with a majority of participants from Japan. This year was the 46th year of the Honolulu Marathon and it drew over 30,000 entrants. This race is held on the second Sunday of December and the course takes the runners through 26.2 miles from downtown Honolulu to Hawaii Kai and finish at Kapiolani Park. This year’s winner was a runner from Kenya who completed the course in just under 2 hours and 8 minutes.

For the past 23 years, I was fortunate to have so many volunteers help me with post-race massage and this year was no different! I always end up with such a great group of LMTs and we also have fun!! How did I get so lucky? We are hired by the Mid-Pacific Roadrunner’s Club and Brian Clarke’s Endurance Training as well as the Marathon Clinic.
