First Time to National!

What an experience this has been for me.

This was the first national convention that I’ve attended as assembly delegates and education as chapter member of Hawaii.

I have attended two meetings on that day of training. A Leadership training program and that Assembly of delegates meeting.

Leadership training program consist  of how AMTA is runs through it National levels and Its Chapters. Dealing with topics such as bylaws, policies, education, budgeting our finances and supporting our chapters and members also building up chapters members and maintaining them through our support.

I also attended our delegate meeting. Were we separated into several smaller groups were we had  discussions on Mission statements and later join into a bigger group and voting on those mission statements where our statements will be sent into the national committee and be voted on to become law.

On the next agenda I’ve attended two continually education classes. The first class was veterans massage and next was lower body extremity massage. I didn’t want to get Overwhelm by taking too many classes.

Oh my free time I attended a Washington Nationals baseball game. They played against the Atlanta Braves. Sadly to say the home team got blown out.

In regards, I would like to say that I had the best time of my life in attending American Massage Therapy Association national conference 2018 in Washington DC. I’ve learned so much for our chapter and me. This will help me serve our chapter!
